WWE to Debut show for kids

I’ve mentioned a time or two that I have a few huge WWE Wrestling fans in my family. They watch everything from Monday Night Raw to pay-per-views, they read WWE Magazine, and in between all of that they keep updated online with all news concerning their favorite Superstars. That certainly sounds like a fair amount of time devoted to this love, wouldn’t you agree? Apparently the WWE thinks they could use a little more of their programming in their lives because they recently announced a new show that will debut this Saturday, August 25th. It’s called WWE Saturday Morning Slam and it’s aimed toward the youngest of fans. I’m actually pleased to hear this since I feel the evening shows can push the envelope with the family-friendly rating at times. It will air in the 10 a.m. time slot among shows like Power Rangers on The CW network. While I know their goal is to bring in more appropriate content for their younger viewers, I personally think my husband and two teenagers will thoroughly enjoy what this show will offer:

WWE Saturday Morning Slam packs the riveting in-ring action, the larger-than-life WWE Superstars, and the WWE’s entertaining brand extensions into the fastest, most energy-filled half-hour on television. WWE Superstar profiles, behind-the-scenes footage and an exclusive WWE match every week will all combine to make WWE Saturday Morning Slam the perfect destination for the youngest viewers in the WWE Universe. The show will also include highlights from WWE’s Be a STAR anti-bullying campaign and other community initiatives.

Here are a couple of fun clips of what’s in store for viewers:
