Norah Jones’ New Album ……"Featuring" – available today – My Review

I am not a music buff, per se.  I usually like something with a good beat and depending what mood I’m in, I like a wide variety of music.  I had listened to a couple of songs by Norah Jones in the past, but I’ll be honest, she wasn’t on my must-buy list when it came to new releases.  To be fair, there aren’t a lot of artists on that list, really.  When I had the opportunity to receive and enjoy her new album titled…..Featuring, I was eager to give it a listen, mostly because I know that my husband enjoys her music and I thought it would be a nice surprise for him.  It is a really special compilation that includes many talented musical artists, including multi-platinum selling superstars to Grammy Award winning singers.  Including the likes of Willie Nelson, Outkast, Ray Charles, and the Foo Fighters, your ears will get a really unique treat.
I am surprised to tell you that my favorite is actually track number four – Baby It’s Cold Outside: Willie Nelson featuring Norah Jones.  Head over to Amazon and give it, or any of the tracks, a listen.  You won’t be disappointed.  By surprised I mean that I would not have considered myself a huge Willie Nelson fan, but I found myself going back and re-playing this track over and over.

“A lot of the people on this record are people I’ve worshiped since I was a kid, and some of them are younger and more my contemporaries,” says Norah. “Even though the musicians are so varied, the vibe of the songs makes sense when we put them all together.”
