My Bloggy Related Resolutions for the New Year

At the beginning of each year I think about what I want to change or “resolve” to do. I don’t really write anything down, but I think about them and basically just see what happens. I hate to put huge pressure because then if I don’t succeed I tend to be super hard on myself. I wrote a bit about my first resolution earlier in the week and this one is what I am doing right now and that is “blog” goals, so to speak. I decided I want this to be a great year for my blog and my social interactions online and this means focused goals that I am happy to say I have started working towards.

First, I want to actually write more! Duh, right? If I want to call it a blog, I have to actually be writing! So, I have set a goal to write more posts and ultimately on a daily basis.

Another huge goal of mine is to interact more. I mean I interact on Twitter and Facebook and I often click links to others’ blog posts, but I wasn’t leaving comments. Now, I am making it a point to leave comments. Considering one of the things that gets me the most down is that I don’t usually get any comments on my blog posts, this one makes simple sense!

A goal related to my posts directly is that I want to write more personal content. I have learned from when I read those types of posts on other blogs, they are the ones that make me feel more connected to that person and they are more “real” to me. Supporting each other makes such a difference!

Possibly my biggest goal for the year is to attend my first ever conference so I can meet some of my favorite bloggers and Twitter pals in real life. What a treat that would be!

Also, I will not be writing just about “green” topics. Although, it is a big part of my life, there is so much more I have and want to say and write about! So, watch out 2010, here I come!!

Oh, and I do have more resolutions for the year….I’ll write about those later!

P.S. I am a Mom and I blog, but please don’t call me a Mommyblogger. Thank you.

  1. I think those are great bloggy resolutions 🙂 I'm the same as you – I click the links but rarely leave comments. I will try to be better at that this year too. 🙂
