Easy Lunchboxes – Product Review and Giveaway

I know I’ve talked before about the importance of packing a healthy lunch for your kids. That is the most important priority for me, but second is the containers that I use to pack their lunches.  I don’t know about you, but I have so many containers and lids swimming around in a drawer in my kitchen that I can hardly keep track of all of them.  And of course what’s really fun is when a lid doesn’t have a matching container or the other way around.  Such a pain.  I have several containers in varying sizes from stainless steel to not-so-friendly plastic ones.  Honestly, I get so frustrated with having to fish through all of the containers and lids and then try to fit them just right into my kids’ lunchboxes.  Sometimes it’s like putting together a puzzle because the lunchbox is only so big and can only fit so many containers.
Let’s face it, we only have so much time as Moms between feeding them breakfast, to making sure they brush their teeth, all the while packing a decent lunch, sipping coffee and dancing to loud music in the kitchen.  What?  You don’t do that last one?  Well, you should!
When I had the opportunity to try out the containers and a lunch bag from Easy Lunchboxes, I was definitely interested in seeing what they had to offer.  Nick picked the red lunch bag and we received a 4-pack of the sectioned containers! Yes, I said sectioned.  Oh, what a relief and to think I only need to pull out one container for each child’s lunch!  (okay, maybe two containers because I do also pack a homemade treat that doesn’t fit in the Easy Lunchbox container.

Here’s what I really like about these containers:

  • They are food safe and contain none of the following: lead, vinyl, PVC, phthalates, or bisphenol A (BPA)
  • They are durable and can even be washed in the dishwasher. (away from the heating element of course)
  • They are sectioned which makes packing super fast
  • Reasonably priced
  • Nest together nicely for easy space-saving storage.
  • Easy to clean
  • Eco-friendly

Here’s what I’m not so crazy about:

  • Ideally I’d prefer something to use stainless steel as much as possible.
  • The lids don’t always seem secured tightly.
  • I would like the larger section of the container to be a bit bigger.  It’s a snug fit if packing a sandwich.

The cooler bag is nice and very roomy.  I pack one of the sectioned containers plus an additional smaller container, an ice pack from the freezer and a water bottle and still have extra space.  It’s super simple to clean – I just wipe it out each day with a damp cloth and the handle makes it easy to carry!

Over all I really like these containers and they have brought a certain ease to my daily lunch preparations along with contributing to my priority of packing a healthy, waste-free lunchbox for each of my kids.
I should tell you a little secret…..apparently many others find them pretty darn fantastic, too, because they are sold out right now at their website!  It’s crazy insane, but a really good thing for them, of course.  Here’s the part that benefits you – as a thank you for your patience while they re-stock they are giving you a FREE cooler bag ($7.95 value) with your order of one of their 4-packs of containers.  Hurry on over to their website, though, before that awesome deal disappears!
Oh, there’s a bit more of good news for you right now.  They, the awesome folks at Easy Lunchboxes, want one of my readers to win their very own 4-pack of containers w/lids and a lunch bag (you get to choose the color).  Awesome, right?  I thought so, too.  So here’s the lowdown on how you can enter to win:
