Disney Pixar’s MONSTERS,INC…..in 3D

Every time I hear of a new movie from Disney I get excited. I mean, it’s Disney and we love all things Disney in our house. Cody’s very first movie as a little guy was The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh on VHS. I can still remember snuggling up with him and watching it over and over again, my first time seeing it right along with him. There are so many wonderful movies from Disney that live in our film collection, but there’s always room for more. So while I love seeing new movies released I have to admit that seeing new versions of old favorites gets me even more excited because they represent a time when my boys were little and could cuddle on my lap to watch a VHS rather than sprawl out on the couch next to me. One such announcement came to me yesterday, with the upcoming release of Monsters, Inc. in 3D. First, you’ve seen Monster’s Inc., right? If not, I’m worried for you and your lack of appreciation for awesome animated movies. If you have actually seen it, you will totally understand the amazingly crazy fun that it will be to see it in 3D ON THE BIG SCREEN! You know, the one at the movie theater, not on your wall. Whether your kids are older like mine and watched the original until they wore it out or if you have little ones and this will be there first time seeing Monsters, Inc., it promises to be a fun, in-your-face experience. Now, we all just have to be patient and wait until December……….

“Monsters, Inc.,” one of Disney•Pixar’s most beloved and visually imaginative feature films ever, returns to the big screen to delight a whole new generation of audiences and fans alike, this time in stunning 3D. The now-classic Academy Award®-winning animated comedy adventure “Monsters, Inc.” is set in Monstropolis, a thriving company town where monsters of all shapes and sizes reside. Lovable Sulley (voiced by John Goodman) and his wisecracking best friend Mike Wazowski (voiced by Billy Crystal) are the top scare team at Monsters, Inc., the largest scream-processing factory. The main power source in the monster world is the collected screams of human children—and at Monsters, Inc., an elite team of scarers is responsible for gathering those precious natural resources. Believed by monsters to be toxic, children are strictly forbidden from entering Monstropolis. But when a little girl named Boo (voiced by Mary Gibbs) accidentally follows Sulley back into his world, he finds his career in jeopardy and his life in utter chaos. So pals Mike and Sulley plot to rectify the mistake and return Boo to her home. But when the trio encounters an unexpected series of complications, they become embroiled in a cover-up catapulting them into a mystery beyond their wildest dreams.

While you’re waiting for the release, you can go visit their Facebook page. I have no doubt there’s some fun happening over there! Be sure to say Hi to Mike and Sulley for me!
