Congrats and thanks to everyone for entering!!

It’s no secret I despise don’t enjoy household cleaning.  As a matter of fact, I don’t even have a “cleaning day” like some people have or like we had when I was growing up.  Every Saturday morning.
Saturday mornings sucked!
If it gets to the point that my husband is commenting about the dirty then that’s a good sign I should probably clean.  Or hand him the spray bottle and a rag and put him to work.  Equal opportunity for all in our household.  Nope, we do not discriminate because of your race, color, gender, or religious beliefs.  So, you are welcome to come on over any time to clean my home for me.  No, I do not pay for services.  Nobody pays me, so again, equal opportunity for all. I digress.
Let’s talk about when I actually do clean, shall we?  If there’s one thing I hate more than the cleaning itself, it’s the nasty chemical laden products that line the shelves of most retailers and the shelves of the homes of so many families and bottles marked with warnings like use in a well ventilated area.  I know there are many other warnings, but since I don’t have any such products in my home I can’t even look them up for you.  For a long time I have been making my own all-purpose spray cleaner.  It does a great job and is super inexpensive to make, but when the folks from one of my favorite companies wanted to send me their whole new line of cleaning products to try, I was excited to see what they had to offer.  I have been using the powder cleanser from Bon Ami for a long time and it’s become a staple in our cleaning arsenal.  It’s been around since 1886 (that’s like older than my grandmother you guys) so they must be doing something right.

The new line of products includes the powder cleanser, a liquid cleanser, an all-purpose spray cleaner, and a dish soap.  I have tried them all, well we have tried them all, and let me share what we I think….

The Powder Cleanser – No dye, perfume, or chlorine and just sprinkle, scrub, and rinse.  I love it for my kitchen sinks and countertops.  Does an amazing job with no yucky film left over afterwards.

The Liquid Cleanser – This comes in Free & Clear and Clean and Tangerine Thyme (which is very mildy scented using essential oils) and my husband loved using it to clean our kitchen floor.  It’s an old linoleum ( I know, shudder) floor, but the Bon Ami (and my hubby) did a great job.  I wish I had a picture to share, but since he was the one doing the cleaning I tried to stay away from the kitchen to avoid being pulled into the “fun” of washing the floor.  I mean he was on his hands and knees with a scrub brush and let me tell you, he can scrub a floor like nobody’s business!  I also used it to clean the bathroom tub and it did a great job there, too.  I just squirted a little throughout the tub, scrubbed with the handy brush and rinsed.  Done. Clean.

The All-Purpose Cleaner – This one we use most often and actually keep one bottle under the kitchen sink and one in the bathroom.  I keep a rag handy with each so it’s easy to just grab, spray and clean just about any surface.  It also comes in the Free and Clear and Tangerine Thyme.  I have never liked anything overly scented so I really like the subtleness of the Tangerine Thyme.  I even used it on my bathroom mirror and was pleased with the fact that there weren’t any streaks!  Huge bonus because we all know that streaks on mirrors or windows is a huge pain.

The Dish Soap –  The dish soap also comes in the Free and Clear and Tangerine Thyme. I love this stuff!  Here’s what I find to be the biggest challenge with dish soap.  It’s when you wash a sink full of dishes then have to slather on hand lotion after because the chemicals have dried out your hands.  You know what I’m talking about?  I know that you do!  Well, that’s not the case with the Bon Ami dish soap.  My hands feel great, there are some decent suds, and most importantly, the dishes are clean!!

Enough with the blah, blah, blah??  Nope, I’m not done yet! The folks at Bon Ami want two of you, my awesome readers, to have two of the products from their fabulous new line of cleaning products. That’s 2 products each to 2 winners!!
