Is This Thing Even On?

Blogger's Block

I don’t know about you, but this has been a rough Winter/Spring for me. My mental health can’t take anymore of the cold and gloomy days and aside from an amazing Disney Land & Sea trip (I can’t wait to share more about it) I took earlier this year I’ve felt like I’m in a funk a majority of the time. I’d love to pass it off as writer’s block, but I’m not sure I could get away with that since it’s been nearly three months since I’ve logged in and written anything. It’s not like I haven’t wanted to write because I do want to share so much with you about my first Disney cruise, running, and whatever else might pop into my head, but I just haven’t felt motivated to blog. I’ve certainly been spending plenty of time on social media, but then there are days when I really need a break from those, especially Facebook because it all gets to be too much some days. I have a feeling you can probably relate to that, right? Anyway, I’m hoping today is the start of some regular blogging because I do love it. I also really love sunshine and warm weather, so if you have any you could spare please send it my way.

  1. A lot of people I keep up with on social media, but that I knew from the blogging days before social media blew up and caused everyone to kind of let their blogs slide – WHEW! – are talking about starting their blogs back up or posting more in them. Facebook’s already had a huge, long run. It’s bound to wind down sooner or later, especially once the next big thing comes along. And I think the next big thing is blogging – again. Blogging has advanced to the point where social media can be easily integrated, and with social media, you don’t get to pick your own colors, fonts, and all the things that make a blog truly your home on the internet.

I look forward to reading your blog posts again!
