P&G brandSAVER Coupon book to benefit Special Olympics

I’ve shared before that Cody is a Special Olympian. If you have the opportunity to attend a Special Olympics for any sport at least once in your lifetime, I promise it will change you. As a matter of fact, I think it would have a much bigger impact if you take your own children as well. While it’s a competition like any other sporting event, that’s hardly the main focus. It’s about celebrating the athletes and their achievements, whether they are assisted in a wheelchair or sprint on their own to the finish line, the excitement isn’t any different at the end of the race. There are cheers from the crowd, hands in the air, and smiles and pride on faces like none I’ve even seen. It’s a pure experience in many ways and having stood on the sidelines as a parent I’m a changed person. While I’m a highly competitive person, I realize my job as Cody’s Mom is to yell and cheer as loud as I can and hug and high-five regardless of the place he finishes in the race.

This weekend there will be a very special coupon insert in your Sunday newspaper on January 1st. It will be a P&G brandSAVER book and it’s special because not only will the coupons save you a total of $95, but for every coupon redeemed, P&G will make a donation to Special Olympics – and there’s no limit to how much can be raised……..but there’s more! For every new fan to “like” the P&G Thank You Mom Facebook page, P&G will donate $1 to Special Olympics, up to $100, 000. Like their page already? Awesome. (Please share it with all of your friends and tell them they should like it, too.) Don’t like it yet? Click on over and do it now. It might be the easiest way you’ve ever donated to a worthy cause.

I’m already a coupon clipper so this will be an easy way for me to support this cause that’s so dear to my heart, but I hope you’ll join me this weekend in purchasing a newspaper and redeeming some of those coupons. Oh, and don’t forget to go like that Facebook page, too. I mean, look at this face……how could you not want to support him and all of the other Special athletes?
