Although I don’t focus soley on green living anymore, or a whole lot at all for that matter, I still live an eco-friendly lifestyle and get pretty excited about green advancements and if you combine them with advances in technology I’m all kinds of giddy. Next week at the LA Auto Show Ford is revealing their all-new Escape. They’ve partnered with the iPhone/iPad application GoldRush to offer a really fun challenge. Every other day they’re going to introduce a new activity (which may involve special teaser photos of the vehicle) and will reward participants who play with special videos of the new Escape.
Today’s video is all about the GREEN elements inside the new vehicle – you can simply play the Escape GoldRun Challenge within GoldRun and watch a video that includes vehicle sneak peaks and great news about the sustainable elements of the new car! One winner at the end of the whole challenge will win a Living Social Escape to the destination of their choice(at a value up to $3,000). Okay, first this is awesome! Second, I’m super bummed and a little jealous because I have the original iPad which isn’t compatible with the app due to the need for a camera. Seriously, since I can’t have fun with this app and try to win that fabulous prize, you totally better, and you better come tell me how cool it is. Well, maybe don’t do that since it will just make me more jealous and bummed and you don’t want any part of that, especially with my birthday coming in a couple of weeks, right?!
Oh! Check out this super cool photo of Ford CMO Jim Farley revealing a QR-code camouflaged Escape at BlogWorld Expo last Friday – I would have loved to have been there in person and scanned those codes with my phone, just for fun. It certainly peaks your curiosity to see what’s under that cover, don’t you agree? It certainly has me curious and wishing I could find a way to get myself to LA next week, you know, for the gorgeous weather, I mean for the auto show.
