Now that we have to close up the windows and keep them closed it is a great time to consider buying house plants. They are a great way of keeping the air in your home clean and purified and maybe keep everyone a bit more healthy this winter! I have done some research and came up with a list of a bunch of “air purifying” plants. Some are definitely toxic when eaten by pets or children so make sure you ask when you buy or search online before you head to your LOCAL nursery(this is a great way to support a local business). Here’s a list I have come up with:
1. Peace Lily
2. Snake Plant(Mother-in-Law’s tongue)
3. Rubber Plant
4. Bamboo Palm
5. Dracaena
6. Boston Fern
7. Spider plant
8. English Ivy
Some are considered much easier to grow than others. Make sure you check online before you buy to learn about the maintenance of each plant. Also, a way to save money is to buy small versions of each plant, especially a spider plant. They will grow very quickly and before you know it, you will have a nice sized plant!
Time for house plants!

I love the snake plant. I recently read that it can be used to purify the air in the room.
