1-800 Flowers – Deliver Birthday smiles campaign – Review and Giveaway

Who doesn’t love receiving flowers?  I mean, it isn’t the most green thing in the world, but nobody’s perfect at anything and the same is true with me and my shade of green.  When 1-800 Flowers contacted me about supporting their Deliver Birthday Smiles Campaign I was definitely interested because, well, let’s just say it’s been a while since my husband sent me flowers – like 2 years, 7 months and 23 days (not that I’m keeping track – that’s just a ballpark guess).  I thought, why not add a little brightness to my day and choose a colorful treat from these three beautiful designs:

Bucket of Birthday Wishes – Our stylish birthday arrangement of roses, carnations and more will make their smile grow by the bucket-ful!

Cupcake in Bloom – Send an unforgettable surprise that will be the talk of the table–our fabulous cupcake-shaped arrangement of fresh carnations! It’s an Everything Cupcake™ for every occasion!

Birthday Flower Cake – Our signature floral birthday cake may look good enough to eat, but it’s actually crafted from fresh pastel flowers such as mini carnations and poms. It arrives in a bakery box with a set of candles where available, and with proper care, can last days after the celebration is complete.

It was actually tough to decide on one, but we also had an upcoming birthday in our family so the timing was really great to pick some flowers.  I decided on the Birthday Flower Cake, mainly because I wanted to see if it would really look like a cake when it arrived.  So, on Nick’s actual birthday there was a knock at the door and it was the delivery of my Birthday Flower Cake arrangement and it even had candles, twelve to be exact, which happens to be Nick’s age on his birthday.  I love that the timing was so perfect on this delivery even if it wasn’t the most masculine looking arrangement of flowers.  Here’s what it actually looked like when we received it:

This was taken within minutes of the arrangement being delivered and I must say, it was gorgeous and really close to what it looks like on the 1-800 Flowers website. I really liked having this arrangement to brighten my table and my days.  I have to say, though, that after about five days several of the flowers started to die so I just picked off the yucky ones until they were all gone.  I guess five days is a decent amount of time for an arrangement to last, right?  Remember, I have no idea about these things since I hardly ever receive flowers.
Here’s the fun part:  1-800 Flowers wants to give one of you a $40 savings pass to use on your own flower arrangement.  Send yourself something, send something to someone else, send me something…..it doesn’t matter, but you could have some fun and brighten someone’s day!
Let’s keep it simple and give you a few ways to enter the giveaway.  Please leave a separate comment for each entry below.  If you leave only 1 comment stating you did all of the requirements, you only get one entry so leave a comment for each entry to increase your chances of winning.
