Earlier this fall when I attended Type-A Parent Conference in Atlanta one of the things I was looking forward to most was getting the chance to meet the folks from Rachael Ray Nutrish. I have two dogs, Jenna who just turned 17 this past August and Socks who is quite rolly-polly and turned 8 this past July, and feeding them the best possible food within my budget is really important to me. They both have very different nutritional needs, so any chance I get to learn more about a particular brand of dog food could be beneficial to all of us. While in attendance at Type-A Parent Conference I was invited to attend an intimate luncheon with representatives from Rachael Ray Nutrish as well as other bloggers with canine pets. We were treated to a lovely lunch that even included dessert, but more importantly we learned a little bit about Rachael Ray Nutrish, much of which I did not know. One of my favorite parts of the lunch was chatting with fellow bloggers who I had never met in person because it is often difficult to simply sit and chat while at a blogging conference. We talked about where we were from and what we blog about and of course we talked about our pets.
Okay, so let’s get back to talking about Rachael Ray Nutrish. As you can see in the photo above (sorry for the glare, I’m no professional) there is is literally something for every dog regardless of their specific dietary needs or requirements. I love the entire line of Nutrish products, but I especially love the Just 6 Recipe because it contains six of the highest quality ingredients and just like I prefer to feed my family foods that contain as few ingredients as possible, I like the same for Jenna and Socks.
Did you know?
Working with a team of pet nutrition experts, Rachael Ray created Nutrish Super Premium Food and Treats for dogs. Made with simple, natural ingredients. Nutrish contains no by-products, artificial flavors or artificial preservatives.
Or how about this?
When you buy Nutrish,® you help protect a forest. Nutrish is committed to being Carbon Neutral. We offset our operational emissions by supporting sustainable forestry.
I loved hearing how much time and care Rachael Ray put into creating a quality line of dog food rather than just printing her name on a label without any regard for the ingredients inside the package, but that isn’t even the best part! The Nutrish team shared a great deal about the line of products with us, but there was one thing that touched everyone in the room and that was when they explained Rachael’s Rescue.
Heartbroken by the thought of the millions of mistreated and abandoned animals taken in by shelters each year, Rachael has created the Rachael’s Rescue website to highlight organizations that are dedicated to helping animals in need. In support of their work, she’s also launched a new line of pet food called Rachael Ray Nutrish™. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of these products will go to organizations such as those listed below.
What we specifically learned was that all of Rachael’s personal portion of the profits from the Nutrish line of dog foods goes into supporting Rachael’s Rescue. If that isn’t reason to love her and to consider switching what brand you you feed your dogs, I’m not sure what is because it was certainly one of the reasons I wanted to immediately introduce the foods and treats to Jenna and Socks. When I got home, I did just that and of course they loved them! Now I just need to request that my local grocery store to start carrying the Healthy Weight Recipe because as you can see, I wasn’t lying about Socks. He’s been loved just a little too much with food and not enough with diet and exercise.
