#NaBloPoMo Blogging Prompt – 5 Things in My Refrigerator Right Now

While I’m finding it easier and easier to write daily for November’s NaBloPoMo, I’m also very grateful to BlogHer for providing weekday writing prompts for times like tonight when I waited until the last minute to write my post and it’s late and I should really get to bed.

Name five things inside your refrigerator right now and how you feel about them.

  1. Chocolate Milk – Not only is chocolate milk a decadent treat, but it’s also my favorite post-run recovery drink. No, really. Look it up if you don’t believe me. It’s totally good for you and your muscles and your bones and your sweet tooth.
  2. Filtered Water Pitchers – We have two pitchers of filtered water in our refrigerator at all times. I love water. No matter what else I drink throughout the day there is always a glass or reusable bottle of water sitting next to me at all times. The same goes for the rest of my family. Us and H2O. We all go together like peas and carrots.
  3. Plain Greek Yogurt – A while ago I made a big life decision. I broke up with sour cream and brought in Greek yogurt as its replacement and I’ve never regretted the decision. The guys in my family don’t even notice a difference when they use dollops of it on their tacos or baked potatoes and I of course love Greek yogurt in my favorite smoothie recipe.
  4. Sriracha Hot Sauce – I have such a love/hurt relationship with Sriracha Sauce. I love to put it on my food, but when I use too much it hurts me in my mouth. It’s really hot, you guys, but I love it and I can’t quit it. It’s great on scrambled eggs, pasta, rice and pretty much everything else. Paul even loves it on his popcorn. He’s weird. Or a genius. I haven’t quite figured that one out yet.
  5. Popcorn – I have said it before and I’ll say it again. I love popcorn. If there is one food I could eat every single day for the rest of my life, it’s popcorn. It’s probably because I have an intense love and need for crunchy foods and popcorn is a better way to satisfy my needs than potato chips by about 5,000 calories.

Obviously there’s a lot more in my fridge, but these are the first 5 things that came to mind without having to get up off the couch and walk all 20 feet to the kitchen to look. So, what’s in your fridge right now?
