Dryer Lint…..Who Knew?!

Okay, so this will be short and sweet, but an idea I just had to share. Every time I pulled the lint from my dryer screen and threw it in the trash I knew there had to be something better I could do with it. Well, there is and it’s eco-friendly and bird-friendly! Place it near or on the ground under your bird feeders outside and the birds will use it for their nests! What a great way to minimize your own waste and support the birds(especially in cooler climates) at the same time. Just makes me feel all warm and cozy to imagine the little birds snuggled up in their “lint nest.”

I love this tip! I’ve been doing this for awhile and it’s amazing how quickly the little critters take the lint and (presumably) use it. 🙂

BTW … thank you for following Reduce Footprints. I’m following you, as well, and I’ve added you to my “green” blog roll.

    Have a wonderful day!
