31 Days to Build a Better Blog – Day Two

I don’t know about you, but the older I get the more I seem to have to remember.  Actually, I take pride in my great memory, but I think there is so much between my own personal stuff to things for my kids, and not to mention that I have to also remember everything for the other adult in my home, my husband. I used to think lists were for people who just couldn’t remember things very well, like they were inferior or something, or a sign my brain just wasn’t as sharp as it should be.  I also found it as a challenge for my brain because the sharper it stays, the longer it will last me.(at least that is what they say).  Well, I will stick to doing crossword puzzles and other word games to keep my mind sharp, but I have now started writing more lists for the important stuff.  One I find super helpful is a list for the grocery store. I know you are all probably thinking that I am crazy to have never done that in the first place. Maybe that is because when my sons were little, going to the grocery store was my “me” time and I would just stroll through the entire store, up and down all of the aisles and just get things as I came across them. Oh, admit it!  This counts as “you” time for some you, too….I just know it!
This leads me to the next post in the 31 Days to Build a Better Blog fun I am having with Mariana and her Blog Spring Cleaning over at Riding With No Hands.  For day two the assignment is to create a list post for your blog.  List posts are great ways for visitors to get a quick scan of a topic they might be interested in, but don’t want to spend a lot of time reading a lengthy post about.  It is also great for traffic to your blog.  People just love lists.  Many times, those are the links I like to click on in order to get some great information on a certain topic I may be interested in.
I like this reminder and I think I am going to try to incorporate a list post into my blog on a weekly basis.  In the meantime, here are some I have done in the past:

~7 Ideas to Add Some Green to Your Life
~Proactive Ways to Stay Healthy During Cold/Flu Season
~10 Great Ways to Reuse an Empty Glass Jar

Thank you so much for stopping by and it isn’t too late to join(goodness knows I am playing “catch up” on my posts for the challenge.)
